The Sales Manager has overall responsibility for selling guest and conference rooms, and different hotel services for the assigned market segments. The Sales Manager will assist the sales team in meeting or exceeding the hotel’s budgeted financial targets.
Essential Job Requirement and Functions:
•Managing sales team in achieving and exceeding budgeted goals in guest and conference rooms revenues, profit and occupancy of the hotel. Effectively communicate with related departments to review opportunities that impact revenue goals
•Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new accounts to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
•Travel locally to conduct outside meetings, promote the hotel and review competition reader boards to develop leads
•Generate leads and new business through internet searches, telephone and email solicitations, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, professional and community organizations, sales, blitzes, etc.
•Conduct weekly sales calls to existing and new accounts, as well as uncover new business in assigned market segments
•Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
•Responsible for negotiating sales contracts, implementation and set up as required
•Analyze historical, current and future hotel/market trends and develop strategies to maximize occupancy and average rate of hotel through creative and selective selling
•Assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly owner reviews
•Sets example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers and observance of sales office standards
•Manage and execute RFP Season Annually by facilitating the process in conjunction with the GM
•Provide continual analysis of lost business reasons and notify property and corporate of on-going trends
•Understand, and follow the Company Sales Vision.
•Have three or more years of experience working in sales management and have knowledge of the local area *Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit a proven track record of exemplary sales performance in a hotel or travel agency with strong professional abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and guest and employee centric coordination practices*
•Very good Command of the Albanian and English language; any other languages (especially German and Italian) are definitely an advantage.
